Mr. James "Frog" Hendrix, age 68, a native and lifelong resident of Forsyth County, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2009. He was a licensed minister and member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and was also a Mason and member of Matt Lodge #694 F&AM. Frog will always be remembered as a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and a friend to many.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Barbara Hendrix of Cumming; children, Aron and Linda Hendrix, Diana and Tommy Martin, all of Cumming; mother, Emma Hendrix of Cumming; grandchildren, Dustin and Heather Hendrix, Mitchell and Patricia Hendrix, T.J. Martin and Austin Martin, all of Cumming; great-grandchildren, Xander Martin, Anslee Hendrix and soon to arrive, James Marell Hendrix, all of Cumming; several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 13, at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Scott Sorrells, the Rev. Ruel Martin and the Rev. Robert Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 8425 Pleasant Grove Circle, Gainesville, GA 30501.
