Mr. James Melvin King, age 65, of Flowery Branch passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2009. He was a member of Four Mile Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Bonnie King; and brother, David King.
Survivors include his wife, Josie King of Flowery Branch; son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Diane King of Sugar Hill; daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Dustin Swett of Dahlonega; brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Phyllis King of Cumming; sister, Mary Bates of Lula; sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Spencer Banks of Doraville; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Marcus and Essie Goodwin, Hugh Lee (Boody) and Hazel Wehunt, Bill and Jean Smith, all of Ball Ground, Ronald and Dyan Allen of Cumming; Mae Lingerfelt, Deana Lingerfelt and James Goodwin, all of Cumming; Billy Goodwin of Ball Ground, Mary Alice Goodwin of Buford; five grandchildren, Charlie Smith, Alex Payne, Peyton, Ashley, Megan King; several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 25, at 2 p.m. at Four Mile Baptist Church with the Rev. Danny Baker, the Rev. Curtis Roland and the Rev. Bryan Goodwin officiating. Interment will follow at Four Mile Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 23, from 6-9 p.m. and Friday, April 24, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
