James R. Lee, 55, of Dawsonville passed away Monday, Jan. 18, 2010, at his residence, following an extended illness. Born June 25, 1954, to the late Rufus and Nellie Lee, he lived most of his life in Forsyth County.
Mr. Lee formerly worked as a carpenter, after which he was employed by Joe K. Smith Trucking. He was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church and was also preceded in death by several sisters and brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Linda Gail Lee of Dawsonville; children, Christie Lee of Cumming, Annie and Steven Robertson of Forsyth County, Wayne Kuykendoll of Cumming, William Kuykendoll of Cumming; brothers and sister-in-law, Ronald and Sherry Lee of Cumming, Tommy Joe Lee of Stone Mountain, Timothy Ray Lee of Milledgeville; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Jan. 21, at 2 p.m. at Zion Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Wheeler and the Rev. Doug Callahan officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends after 11 a.m Tuesday, and all day Wednesday at the funeral home.
