Mrs. Holland passed away July 3, 2010, at Laurel Baye Healthcare of Lanier in Buford. Born Sept. 27, 1924, in Gainesville, she was the daughter of the late Orion T. and Clara Green Smith. She lived in Thomasville for 50 years, where she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She was a homemaker and a Pink Lady at Archbold Memorial Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Walter Blaine Garrison Jr., Warren A. Rice Jr., and James Truman Holland Jr.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Blaine G. and Jim Cooper of Cumming; stepdaughter, Elizabeth H. Everard of Alpharetta; stepson, Geary Holland of Thomasville; grandchildren, Jimmy B. Cooper Jr., Jennifer Cooper White; great-grandchildren, Travis Colton White, Clara Blaine White, Alison Blaine Cooper, David August Cooper; sister, Annie Laurie Dodd; and brother, Orion T. Smith II.
A memorial service for Jimmie Smith Holland of Dahlonega will be held Thursday, July 15, at 11 a.m. at Dahlonega Funeral Home in Dahlonega with Scott Uzzel officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m.
