Jimmy Lamar Thompson, age 72, of Holly Springs passed away Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012. He was a member of Longstreet Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Paul and Grace Thompson.
He is survived by his wife, N. Willene Martin Thompson of Holly Springs; sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy and Brip Thompson of Alpharetta, Sammy Thompson of Canton, Hal and Sherry Thompson of Holly Springs; grandchildren, Casey and Stephanie (Thompson) Norris, Mindy Thompson, Brody Thompson; great-grandson, Levi Grayson Norris; brother and sister-in-law, David and Linda Thompson of McDonough; sisters, Jeanette Thompson Vaughters of Dawsonville, Pam Thompson of Alpharetta; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives also survive.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 20, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with the Rev. Jackie Martin, the Rev. Gerral Richards, the Rev. Terry Caylor, the Rev. Michael Cantrell, and the Rev. Allen Dixon officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home Wednesday, Jan. 18, from noon to 8 p.m. and Thursday, Jan. 19, from noon to 8 p.m.
