Mr. John Bernard Tatum, age 85, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2008, at his residence in Johns Creek. He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore Tatum and Minnie Suddeth Tatum.
Formerly a Forsyth County resident, he lived in Warner Robins for 58 years. He retired from Robins Air Force Base after 30 years of civil service. He was a member of Sandy Valley Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. A World War II Veteran, he served with the 10th Mountain Division in Italy. He was a loving husband and father.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Loyce Vance Tatum; son and daughter-in-law, David and Nancy Tatum; grandsons, Daniel Tatum and John David Tatum; granddaughter, Morgan Tatum; several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 6, at 1 p.m. in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Vaughan officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday, Sept. 5, from 6-8 p.m.
