Jonathan Scott Cooper, age 42, of Cumming and Ventura, Calif., passed away on Saturday, Dec. 27, 2014.
Mr. Cooper was born July 27, 1972, in Atlanta. He was a 1989 graduate of Berkmar High School in Lilburn, and a 1994 graduate of Georgia State University with a Bachelor's Degree in music. He was self-employed as a piano teacher.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Hines; grandparents, G.C. and Euell Cheek Cooper, and Lawrence and Beatrice Hines; stepmother, Mona Allen Cooper.
He is survived by his father, Glenn C. Cooper, Sugar Hill; sister and brother-in-law, Robin and Brian Holbrook, Cumming; brother and sister-in-law, Michael Glenn and Evelyn Cooper, Lilburn; niece, Helena Holbrook; and nephew, Nicholas Holbrook.
A celebration of life service will be held Friday, Jan. 2, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery, Hoschton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 1 p.m. until the time of service.
