Joseph "Joey" Stephen Storey III, age 9, of Alpharetta passed away suddenly Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012. Joey played baseball through the Forsyth County Miracle League and also participated in the Special Olympics. Every year Joey, along with his family, would attend the Down Syndrome Association of Atlanta Buddy Walk to support the Down Syndrome community.
He is survived by his father and mother, Joseph and Kimberly Storey; brothers, Chris Hancock, Russell Hancock, Justin Hancock; grandparents, Barbara and Jim Dalton of Cumming, Freda Newton of Acworth, Joseph and Nancy Storey of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; aunts and uncles, Kenneth and JoAnn Van Alstyne of Cumming, James and Irene Storey of Kent, Wash.; along with numerous other loving relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 28, at 4 p.m. St. Aidan's Episcopal Church, with the Rev. Robert Wood officiating. The family will receive friends at the church Wednesday from 2-4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joey's name to the DSAA or to the Forsyth County Miracle League.
