Juas Reid, age 84, of Cumming passed away Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014. He was a member of the Ducktown Masonic Lodge and a member at Bethlehem Baptist Church.†Juas loved farming and taking care of his chickens and cows.†During his life, he dedicated 31 years of employment to Lockheed Martin.
Juas was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Viola Reid; son, Charles Allen Reid; sisters, Martha Ann Brisco, Margie Monroe; infant brother, Sanford Reid.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Ozzie Reid of Cumming; children, Danny Wayne (Joyce) Reid of Cumming, Johnny Keith (Teresa) Reid of Cumming, James Darryl Reid of Woodstock; grandchildren, Melinda (Jim) Harrington of Cumming, Bradley Reid of Statesboro; great-grandchildren, Heather Grace Harrington, Hunter James Harrington; brother, Loy D. Reid of Cumming; sister, Madge Corbin of Cumming; brother-in-law, Billy (Jane) Majors of Alpharetta; and many nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 18, at 3:30 p.m. in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Pete Martin and the Rev. Vernie Worley officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home Friday, Jan. 17, from 5-9 p.m. and Saturday, Jan. 18, from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service.
