LaQuita Wade Castleberry, age 79, who lived most of her life in Cumming, passed away Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011, at her residence in Blue Ridge. She was a charter member of Cumming Baptist Church. LaQuita loved traveling and dancing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney Clayton and Magolene Barfield.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby and Marilynn Walker of Cumming, Chris and Carolyn Walker of Dawsonville; brother and sister-in-law, Sidney and Janette Barfield of Cumming; sister, Patsy Culver of Cumming; uncle, Lindsey Shiver; nieces, Stacey and husband Rick Posey, Stephanie and husband Gary Holton, Darice and husband Bob Shiver; and a number of other relatives also survive.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 21, at 11 a.m. at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Barry Crocker officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home Tuesday, Sept. 20, from 3-9 p.m. and Wednesday, Sept. 21, from 9 a.m. until hour of service.
