Leland Adle Watson, loving husband, father and grandfather of Gainesville, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2015.
He was a dedicated deacon and member of Salem Baptist Church. Leland was a former school bus driver of 56 years with Forsyth County School System.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. G. Watson; brothers, Grady, and Hugh; sisters, Willie Mae Simpson, Mardell Grubbs, and Murdess Bennett; great-grandsons, Harley, and Augustus Watson.
Survivors include his wife, Lena Alma Skinner Watson; children, Dennis (Patricia) Watson, Jane (Wilson) Pruitt, Scott (Angela) Watson; sister-in-law, Millie Watson; 10 grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren, all of Gainesville.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 1, at 2 p.m. in the chapel at Ingram Funeral Home. The Revs. Keith Martin, Eric Watson, Wilson Pruitt, will be officiating. The Rev. Clark Watson will be officiating at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens graveside service.
Visitation will be Friday, noon until time of service.
Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
