Lindley Douglas (Doug) Howle, 67, of Cumming passed away Dec. 21, 2014. Born in Atlanta, he was preceded in death by his parents, A.M Howle Sr. and Audrey Jones White; brother, A.M.( Larry) Howle Jr. It is with a heavy heart that we mourn the loss of our Father, Husband, Pappy, Brother, and Friend.
A graduate of Lakeshore High School and attended Atlanta Law School, Doug served the City of Atlanta from 1967-1975 as an officer & detective. After leaving law enforcement, he went on to have a long accomplished career in the automotive industry as a dealer and automotive management and consulting. As an avid lover of music, he fulfilled his passion by helping musicians get started in the industry.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Carol Wallace Howle of Cumming; daughter and son-in-law, Shelley and David Spencer of Charlotte, N.C.; daughter and son-in-law, Anna and Brian DeBlois of Cumming; sister, Linda Schilling of Dawsonville; sister, Leah Hammock of Suwanee; grandchildren, Savannah and Camille Spencer, Brandon, Chandler, and Christian DeBlois; and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a celebration of Doug's life at 2 P.M. Sunday, Jan. 18, at Mountain Lake Church. Family and friends will be received
immediately following the service in the reception lobby.
