Lizabeth Foster Martin, age 49, of Cumming passed away Thursday, March 5, 2015, at Embracing Hospice House after a long cancer battle.
Born in DePage, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Bonnie Mason Foster and Larry Foster of Demorest.
Liz graduated from Milton High School in 1983, and married Russell (Rusty) in 1985. She most recently worked at the Cumming First United Methodist Church Preschool where she loved her students as she loved her own children.
In addition to her father, Liz is survived by her husband, Russell Martin of Cumming; children, Alyssa and Reed Martin of Cumming; mother and father-in-law, Linda Mansell Martin, and Alan Martin of Elijay; brothers-in-law, Tony (Page) Martin of Marietta, and Ryan (Stephanie) Martin of Canton; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Saturday, March 7, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeffrey Farster officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Cumming First United Methodist Church Preschool, P.O. Box 606 Cumming, GA 30028.
McDonald and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
