Mark Ceasar McGuinness, 81, of Cumming passed away Nov. 29, 2011, at his home. Born in Mineola, N.Y., he was the son of the late Michael and Margaret McGuinness. Mark served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a loving father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ethel Smedsvig McGuinness.
He is survived by his daughters, Cheryl Wentzell of Holbrook, N.Y., Colleen Petrotto of Cumming, Nancy Mayosky of Baldwin, N.Y.; son, Michael McGuinness of Cumming; brother, George McGuinness of Florida; and much-loved grandchildren, Kelly, Ian, Charlie, Steven, Hallie, Frank, Cassidy, Kaysie and Lexi.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 2, at 11 a.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Cumming. Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, Dec. 1, from 6-9 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Christ the King Lutheran Church, 1125 Bettis-Tribble Gap Road, Cumming, GA 30040.
