Martha Corn Grogan, age 61, a native and lifelong resident of Forsyth County, passed away suddenly on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2009. She was a member of Concord Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her father, Amon L. Corn; brother, Lowell James Corn; and nephew, Alex Emory Corn.
Survivors include her mother, Mrs. Hazel Lamb Corn; sons and daughter-in-law, Joey Amon Grogan, Chris and Carla Grogan; grandchildren, Ben and Nate Grogan, all of Cumming; her companion pet dog, Dapples; uncles and aunts, Ernest and Bobbie Corn, Pierce and Kate Corn, Ed Wallace, Bernice and Lendan Ivey, Doris Corn; special cousin and friend, Carolyn Wallace Dooley; special friend, Phyllis Bailey; and many other friends and other relatives also survive.
The funeral service was held Sunday, Oct. 18, at 3 p.m. at the Concord Baptist Church with Dr. Jimmy Orr, the Rev. Tommy Lamb and Dr. Lester Cooper officiating. Interment followed in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.
