Mary J. "Judy" Field, 80, of Roswell went to join the Lord on Feb. 19, 2010. She was a native Georgian who was born and raised in Forsyth County. She was a noted sales representative for 28 years with Charles of the Ritz Cosmetics. She was an avid golfer and dog lover.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, J. Harold and Ola (Saxon) Reid; and two brothers, Glenn and Sonny Reid.
She is survived by her loving family, including her devoted daughter, Beverly (Jim) Spence of Maui, Hawaii; grandsons, Dustin (Cristiane) and David Stoner; great-granddaughter, Victoria; twin sister, Jeannie (Jack) Hartman of Cumming; sisters, JoAnn (Ralph) Cowart of Atlanta, Ruth Pirkle of Alpharetta, Becky (Tom) Dunnagan of Angier, N.C., Diane Martin of Smithville, Tenn., Linda (James) Hughes of Cumming; brothers, E.H. "Emmitt" Reid of Cumming, Robert D. "Doug" Reid of Monroe, Charles "Dow" Reid of Dawsonville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Judy leaves behind her loving Maltese dog, Lexie, who gave her strength and comfort for nine years.
The graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 23, at Green Lawn Cemetery. The memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 23, at the Johns Creek United Methodist Church with Dr. D.B. Shelnutt Jr. officiating. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m., Monday, Feb. 22, at Roswell Funeral Home,
The family requests contributions be made in Judy's memory to the Peachtree Christian Hospice, 3430 Duluth Park Lane, Duluth, GA, 30096, Johns Creek United Methodist Church, or the .
A special and heartfelt thank you on behalf of Judy's family is extended to Peachtree Christian Hospice and Emory Johns Creek Hospital for the loving care provided. Judy will be forever loved and remembered as a beloved mother, Gran-Gran, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
