Melody Dawn Fisher, age 48, of Sugar Hill succumbed to breast, bone and liver cancer after a 10-year courageous battle. A caring, giving and loving wife and daughter, she was an encourager to other cancer patients and faced her illness with courage and wit. Melody was a spirited conversationalist and genuinely cared about others.
She is survived by her husband of 16 years, Victor Fisher of Sugar Hill; parents, Melvin and Margie Klaudt of Lawrenceville; brother, Michael Klaudt of Virginia; sister-in-law, Kathy Klaudt of Virginia; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
A memorial service for Melody will be held Saturday, June 20, at 2 p.m. at North Metro First Baptist Church with Dr. Frank Cox officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, June 19, from 5-8 p.m. at Bill Head Funeral Homes and Crematory, Duluth Chapel.
