Morris E. Thompson, age 76, of Cumming passed away Dec. 4, 2012. Morris was an outdoorsman that loved the Atlanta Braves and NASCAR. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley English Thompson; daughters, Donna Thompson, Janet Thompson; parents, Lemuel and Ruby Thompson; sister, Barbara Lee; and brother, Ralph Thompson.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Renita Thompson of Cumming; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Jimmy Satterfield of Cherokee County; grandchild, Cody Thompson; sister-in-law, Betty Jean Thompson; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Barbara and Jack Biddy; and other loving relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 7, at 2 p.m. in the chapel at Ingram Funeral Home, with the Rev. Pete Martin and the Rev. Tim Biddy officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, Dec. 6, from noon to 4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m., and Friday, Dec. 7, from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
