Mrs. Ommie May Pippin, age 88, of Cumming died Saturday, May 28, 2011, at the Grandview Healthcare Center in Jasper following a period of declining health.
Born Jan. 2, 1923, in Seminole, Okla., she was the daughter of the late John Leveda Williams and Annie Elizabeth Colver Williams. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Cecil Pippin. Mrs. Pippin was a homemaker and a member of the Cumming Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Rick Forrester of Big Canoe and Naples, Fla.; granddaughters, Sherrie F. Courtney of Charlton, Mass., Angela F. Jones of Big Canoe; great-grandchildren, Mary Ann Courtney, Michelle Courtney, Abbie Jones, Maggie Jones, Matthew Jones; sister, Bessie Jo Young of Houston, Texas; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Graveside services were Tuesday, May 31, at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton with Dr. Rick Forrester officiating.
