Ralph Richard Pressel, 68, of Cumming, former resident of New Canaan, Conn., and Stamford, Conn., passed away July 21, 2014. Born in Mineola, N.Y., he was the son of the late Harvey and Mary Pressel.
Ralph grew up in Grosse Pointe Woods, Mich., and graduated from Union College in New York, where he met Jean at a college mixer. After they married they moved to Bloomington, Ind., where he received his MBA from Indiana University.
Ralph was CFO of International Banking at CitiCorp in New York City for several years before leaving the industry to pursue his passion of house flipping in Connecticut with Jean. They moved to the Atlanta area in 1990 and continued house rehabbing and their architectural drawing business until retirement.
Ralph will be remembered for his unwavering love of his family and his one-of-a-kind sense of humor.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jean Talbott Pressel of Cumming; daughter and son-in-law, Wendy and Burrell Sullivan III of Cumming; daughter, Jennifer Pressel Goldman of Franklin, Tenn.; brother, Wayne Pressel of Carson City, Nev.; grandchildren, Elizabeth and Darby Sullivan of Cumming.
The family will receive friends and family Friday, July 25, from noon to 2 p.m. at McDonald and Son Funeral Home.
