Mr. Robby Lynn Cowart, age 36, of Murrayville/Cumming passed away Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008. Robby was preceded in death by his father, Edwin Cowart in 1993; and mother, Geraline Hardy in 2005.
Robby was a 15-year veteran of the Forsyth County Fire Department, starting as a volunteer. He was a loving husband and father to his wife and girls and always took great pride in all their accomplishments. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and his many brothers at the Forsyth County Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife, Melody Cowart of Murrayville; two daughters, Kirsten and Katelyn Cowart of Murrayville; brother and sister-in-law, Steven and Bobbie Sue Cowart of Cumming; sister and brother-in-law, Christie and David Drake of Cumming; nephews, Cameron Cowart, Robby Cowart; grandniece, Jada Cowart.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, Nov. 9, at 3 p.m. from First Christian Church, 1270 Sawnee Dr. in Cumming, with the remains placed in state at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Byars Funeral Home on Friday, Nov. 7, from 4-8 p.m. and on Saturday, Nov. 8, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6-9 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Melody Cowart in memory of Robby Cowart at any Wachovia Bank.
