Robert (Bob) Pritchard Tuttle, passed away at the age of 94. He was born to Marybelle and Seth Tuttle on Aug. 23, 1922. Bob was a W.W.II veteran serving in the South Pacific where he developed his love for aircraft radar. He received a Bachelor of Electric Engineering degree from the University of Arkansas. He received his Masters degree in Business Administration from Georgia State. His career spanned 45 years working in the aircraft industry. He was instrumental in helping develop the radar systems for several vital military aircraft.
During his lifetime Bob had been a faithful servant of Christ and an active member in local churches. He was a member of the Cumming Baptist church.
For many years he was an active member of the local Republican party and served as a delegate at the State Republican Convention several times. Bob was a mentor to so many children in elementary schools in Forsyth County.
Bob touched the lives of so many people. Sharing stories with them and enjoying the stories they shared with him. His love of learning influenced everyone he met.
Bob is survived by his wife of 67 years, Kathlyn; sons, Robert Kevin (Diane), David Kendall (Mellanie), and Murray Kent (Laurie); grandchildren, Kenda Rakusin (Ronnie), Kaylon (Megan), Kyle (Jenni Lyn), and Julie (Andrew); great-grandchildren, Chantal, Levi, and Arlo.
Visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 6, at McDonald and Son Funeral Home with funeral services following the visitation in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home at 2 p.m.
Interment will be held Monday, Jan. 9, at 10 a.m. with Military honors.
McDonald and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
