Robert Lynn O'Daffer passed away March 1, 2010, at the age of 78. He lived with his daughter, Vicki Lynn (O'Daffer) Lovins in Cumming, and died of congestive heart failure. Born in Illinois on May 26, 1931, he was the son of the late Claude and Vivian O'Daffer. He had two brothers, Wilbur O'Daffer (deceased) and Vernon O'Daffer (deceased), and a sister, Violet O'Daffer of Decatur, Ill. Mr. O'Daffer was an artist and his work was often published in Katy Keene comic books.
In addition to his daughter and sister, he is survived by three grandchildren, Michelle Lynn (Allan) Guthrie of Mableton, Melissa Joy (James) Read of Buford, Michael Brandon Lovins of Buford; and five great-grandchildren, Dylan Kaufman, Alexis Read, Mason Read, Ryder Read and Anabelle Guthrie.
The family will honor him at a private service at a later date. He will be remembered as a loving and caring father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
