Mrs. Ruth Lipscomb Wallace, age 90, of Cumming passed away Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009. She was a member of Coal Mountain Baptist Church. Mrs. Wallace was a teacher in Forsyth County for more than 41 years and principal of Matt Elementary School. She was also an author of two books. She was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Eugene Wallace; and son, William Wade Wallace.
Survivors include her daughter, Jane Westray of Cumming; granddaughters, Sarah Clark of Cumming, Mary and spouse Kent Pardue of Cleveland; great-grandchildren, Brooke Turner, Elliott Clark, Evaline Clark, Emma Clark, all of Cumming; a number of other relatives also survive.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, Nov. 4, at 2 p.m. in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tim Holland officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday, Nov. 3, from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4-9 p.m. and Wednesday, Nov. 4, from 11 a.m. until the hour of service.
