Shirley McDowall Hall, age 80, of Suwanee passed away Thursday, March 23, 2017.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Richard A. Hall of Suwanee; daughter, Vicki Sue (Scott) Gillis of Lake Oswego, Ore.; grandchildren, Michael and Lindsay Gillis, Alex Gillis, Matthew and Katrina Gillis, Nathan and Ashley Gillis, Jon Gillis, Kirill Gillis; four great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Ruth McDowall of Lake Wylie, S.C., Opal McDowall of Denver, Colo.; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mrs. Hall was born Nov. 23, 1936 in Greeley, Colo. She was a 1954 graduate of Ault High School in Ault, Colo., and attended Colorado State University. Mrs. Hall was a homemaker. She was a member of Ivy Creek Baptist Church in Buford, and a member of the Jeff Bowie Sunday school class.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 1, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobby Linkous and Dr. Craig Dale officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 31, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Hall will be laid to rest at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens, Buford. A luncheon will be held in the Ivy Creek Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 2500 Ivy Creek Rd NE, Buford, following the interment.
