Mr. Stanley Ray Bagwell, age 59, a lifelong resident and fourth generation of Forsyth County, died Wednesday, July 23, 2008.
Mr. Bagwell was president of Bagwell and Mathis Tire Inc., one of the oldest family businesses in Forsyth County. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Cumming and a graduate of the University of Georgia. He was preceded in death by his father, Myron Bagwell.
Survivors include his wife, Susan (Gravitt) Bagwell of Cumming; daughter and son-in-law, Emily (Bagwell) and Adrian Flack of Cumming; son and daughter-in-law, Samuel Ray and Tamara (Huwiler) Bagwell of Gainesville; grandchildren, Polly Jane Flack and expected child of Sam and Tamara; mother, Thelma Mundy Bagwell of Cumming; brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Linda Bagwell of Cumming; sister, Jeannine Bagwell of Cumming; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Funeral services will be Friday, July 25, at 4 p.m. in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bob Jolly officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 24, from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service.
