Mr. Steve W. Smallwood, age 58, of Cumming passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2009. Mr. Smallwood was born November 23, 1950, in Gwinnett County. He was a cabinet-maker. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Felton Smallwood.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Evelyn Buice Smallwood of Cumming; daughters and sons-in-law, Sheri Lyn and Kyle Farris of Suwanee, Stacy and Michael Baird of Dawsonville, Tracy and Alvin Ingram of Cumming; sons and daughter-in-law, Keith and Jill Smallwood of Canton, Patrick Smallwood of Lathemtown; nine grandchildren, Ethan and Hayden Farris, Anna Bree Bridges, Cody and Christopher Ingram, Katelyn and Wyatt Smallwood, Trevor Baird, Michael Casin Weston; three great-grandchildren, Autumn Weston, Zachary Weston, Levi Weston; sisters, Arlene Frasier of Martin, Mary Smallwood of Buford, Hazel McDaniel of Buford, Marjorie Sweatman of Commerce; brother-in-law, W.A. Buice of Cumming; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 14, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with the Rev. Scott Sweatman and the Rev. Joel Shadburn officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the in memory of Steve Smallwood. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, June 13, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
