Teresa Adams Day, age 67. It saddens me to announce the passing of my soul mate, best friend and wonderful wife of 44 years. She went to be with the Lord Monday, Oct. 19, 2015, following a hard fought battle with cancer.
Teresa was born Jan. 28, 1948, in Atlanta and grew up in Decatur. Teresa and I lived in Johns Creek and are members of Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church.
Teresa graduated from University of Georgia with a degree in art and English. After a number of years teaching school, Teresa and her good friend, Kendall Collier, started out in 1987 on an adventurous career in catering and special events. Today they own Magic Moments Special Events Facilities, Flint Hill, Primrose Cottage, The Atrium, Little Gardens, and Cloverleaf Farm and A Divine Event Catering and Design Co. They successfully orchestrate close to 1,000 weddings and special events a year. Teresa has touched the lives of many people throughout her 67 years. She will truly be missed by all.
Teresa is survived by me, her husband, Johnie Day; sons, Adam and Matt; daughters-in law, Carrie and Katie; loving grandkids, Ellis, Andrew, Chance, Courtney, Brittany and her husband, Kyle; and two adorable great-granddaughters, Anberlin and Payton.
Teresa is also survived by her brothers, sister and sisters-in-law: John and Happy Adams, Bob and Sue Adams, Kay Davis, and Frank Adams; my sisters and brothers-in-law, Gail and Melvin Hunnicutt, and Janice and Perry Dillard; also numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Celebration of Life will be Friday, Oct. 30, at 4 p.m. at Primrose Cottage, 674 Mimosa Blvd., Roswell, GA 30075.
