The Rev Kenneth Charles Eade, age 95, passed away Monday, June 27, 2016, at his home in Cumming.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Doris Church Eade; three sons; six grandsons; and two granddaughters.
He was born in Hanna, Alberta, Canada in 1921, and moved to Lomita, Calif., in 1925. He served in the Army Air Force during WWII. He graduated from Occidental College, Princeton Theological Seminary, and Church Divinity School of the Pacific. He was ordained to the Episcopal Priesthood in 1952. He served churches in Sunnyvale, Calif., Pomona, Calif., Midland, Texas, La Union, N.M., and Arlington, Va.
He retired in 1983 after 32 years of active ministry. In retirement, he lived in Texas, Nevada, and moved to Cumming in 1995. During retirement he was a visiting preacher at St. Thomas Church, Thomasville and St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Dunwoody.
A Requiem Mass will be held July 16, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Barnabas located at 4795 North Peachtree Road, Dunwoody, GA 30338 followed by internment in the columbarium located in the Chapel within the Church. A reception follows in the Parish Hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Church.
SouthCare Cremation and Funeral Society is in charge of arrangements.
