Vincent (Vinnie) Ciccia, 43, passed away suddenly on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2009, at Northside Hospital Forsyth in Cumming.
Vinnie was born on Jan. 4, 1966, in Brooklyn, N.Y., and was raised in South Plainfield, N.J. He graduated from South Plainfield High School in 1984, and went on to attend the Citone Institute of Technology for computer programming.
Vinnie was the assistant vice president of network services at New York Life Insurance Company in Alpharetta. He worked for the company for 13 years between New York City and Georgia.
Vinnie was a charming, kind, and very funny man. He was a wonderful father, caring fiancé, and a true friend. A family member appropriately said that God now has the most wonderful man on earth in heaven.
Vinnie was an avid musician, considering himself a "drummah." At any given time one could find him banging away in the living room, drumming on the steering wheel, or rocking out on the air drums. He instilled a love of music in each and every one of his children.
He is survived by his fiancé, Karen Spellman of Cumming; his mother, Enriqueta of New Jersey; six children and one granddaughter, Michelle of Pennsylvania, Toni of New Jersey, Amanda, Eric, John, and Natalie residing at home with their mother in Cumming, Margaret of Pennsylvania; his sister and two nieces, Vera, Devynn, and Gina of New Jersey.
The lives Vinnie touched are infinite. He will be deeply missed and always in our hearts.
Mass will be held at St. Brendan's Catholic Church on Tuesday, Oct. 13, at 11 a.m. Friends and family may call McDonald and Son Funeral Home in Cumming on Monday, Oct. 12, between noon to 2 and 4-9 p.m. A memorial service will be held in New Jersey at a later date.
