The Guest Book is expired.

Virginia Frances Samples Kilgore, age 87, of Kennesaw passed away Friday, Nov. 4, 2011. Raised in Forsyth County, Frances cherished her childhood memories there and her high school friends from Forsyth County High School. Frances later worked for a law firm in Atlanta and Otis Elevator Company.
She was married to Roy L. Kilgore until his death in 2008. They were charter members of Due West United Methodist Church in Marietta and were devoted to the establishment and building of the first sanctuary there.
An avid gardener, Frances served as past president of the Marietta Council of Garden Clubs and president of Dogwood Garden Club. She was a life member of Garden Club of Georgia, Deep South Region, and National Garden Club. She worked tirelessly in fund raising and enabling the Marietta Educational Garden Center to be restored and furnished to its present beautiful appearance.
Until her illness, Frances was a volunteer and member of the Cobb EMC Women's Task Force, where she enjoyed working with young people, women's issues and fund raising.
Frances was an extraordinary cook, gardener, quilter, organizer, but above all, a wonderful friend. Our lives were enriched by having known her.
Graveside services were held Monday, Nov. 7, at 11 a.m. at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park in Marietta with the Rev. Ted McClung officiating.
