Weldon Tallant, age 68, of Cumming passed away Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2016. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Weldon was a poultry farmer, owned and operated Tallant's TV and later he started Tallant's Grading.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Orene Tallant; sister, Brenda Tallant.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Louise Tallant of Cumming; sons and daughters-in-law, Matt and Shelly Tallant of Cumming, Travis and Sallie Tallant of Ball Ground; mother-in-law, Ethel Benefield of Cumming; brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Debbie Tallant of Cumming; sister and brother-in-law, Lisa and Scott Collett of Toccoa; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Sheryl Benefield, Frances and Larry Crum all of Cumming; grandchildren, Sharon, Brody, Trent and Madelyn; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Services were held Saturday, August 20, at 2 p.m. in Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Bud Sutton and Dennis Bottoms officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.
Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
