William Alton Vaughan departed earth for eternity with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Dec. 3, 2010. Mr. Vaughan was retired from the City Of Richmond Fire Department and Lovings Produce Company. He served in the Pacific U.S.A. Fleet for the United States Navy during World War II.
Surviving is his bride of 57 years, Viola Vaughan; four daughters, Bonita Ragland (Benny), Patricia Elliott (David) of Cumming, Vickie Vaughan, Diane Munsey (Ed); grandchildren, Ken Slazyk (Kelly), Brian Slazyk (Brandon), Denise E.Young (Cliff), Eli Elliott of Cumming, Ryan Munsey (Lauren), Jason Munsey; great-grandchildren, Bethany and Malachi Young of Cumming, Chase and Connor Slazyk; brother, Gordon Vaughan (Virginia); brother-in-law, Max Green; and two loving nieces and nephew.
Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. at the Calvary Christian Church on Sunday, Dec. 5, where services will be conducted 11 a.m., Monday, Dec. 6. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
