William E. Wilkinson, 82, of Cumming was received by Jesus on July 19, 2009, at Embracing Hospice House. The son of the late Peter and Mary Wilkinson, he was born in Dundee, Scotland, on March 12, 1927.
Mr. Wilkinson served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a professional truck driver. He was an active member of First Baptist Church of Cumming.
A loving husband, father and PaPa, Mr. Wilkinson is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Frances Wilkinson of Cumming; children, Kevin Wilkinson, Terri Palmer, Kimberly Borsodi, Randy Wilkinson; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 23, in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Bob Jolly and the Rev. Dr. Jim Dwiggins officiating. Interment will follow on Friday, July 24, at the Georgia National Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 22, from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Embracing Hospice House, 8013 Majors Road, Cumming, GA 30041.
