William "Emory" Sexton, 77, of Ball Ground passed away Monday, Feb. 20, 2012, at his residence. He was a truck driver for Canton Wholesale Company and a member of Waleska Road Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Sexton.
Survivors include his sons, Roger (LaDonna) Sexton of Canton, Melvin (Beth) Sexton of Woodstock, Lonnie (Nancy) Sexton of Ball Ground; sisters, Janice Newberry of Smyrna, Joyce Wigley of Cumming, Nancy Knight of Dawsonville, Diane Carnes of Cumming; six Grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 23, at the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Garland, Rev. Daniel McCoy, Rev. Bobby Segers, Rev. Wallace Cochran and Rev. Lamar Frady officiating. Entombment will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour on Thursday.
