William Everett Bennett, 78, of Cumming passed away March 2, 2012. Born in Cumming, he was predeceased by his parents, Luther Leo and Edith Mangum Bennett; brother, Norris Bennett; and father and mother-in-law, Glenn and Helen Benson Fowler.
Mr. Bennett was an active member of the community. He was a member of Johns Creek Baptist Church; served as chairman of the Board for Bennett Graphics; CASA chairman; Forsyth Leader Program chairman; two time chairman of the Hawaii Baptist Academy Mainland Advisory Council; Printing Industries of America board member; two time chairman of Printing Industry of Georgia; member, Forsyth County Development Authority; board member, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta; Mercer University trustee; Northlake Rotary Club past president; member, Rotary of Johns Creek; Georgia Baptist Medical Center board member; and he was influential in bringing Northside Hospital to Forsyth County.
He is survived by his loving wife, Teresa Fowler Bennett of Johns Creek; son and daughter-in-law, David and Genny Bennett of Johns Creek; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Mark Adent of Johns Creek; sister and brother-in-law, Florene and Byron Kay; brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and Lavon Bennett, Gene and Betty Bennett; grandchildren, Chris and Will Bennett, and John, Matt, and Kate Adent; and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services were held Sunday, March 4, at Johns Creek Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations made in Mr. Bennett's name to the Johns Creek Baptist Church building fund.
