William Hugh Carnes, also known as Hugh Bob, age 66, of Cumming passed away Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014. A top notch mechanic and business owner, Hugh loved to fish and hunt and would have rather been outdoors than anywhere else. He would have given you the shirt off his back if you needed it.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Dianne Carnes of Cumming; sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Denise Carnes of Cumming, James and Barbara Carnes of Dawsonville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gerald and Judy Carnes of Cleveland, Eugene and Annette Carnes of Cumming; sisters and brother-in-law, Loyce and Cloyse Hicks of Cumming, Barbara Reagin of Dahlonega; grandchildren, Myron Carnes, Seth Carnes, Shanna and Craig Oliver; and other loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 14, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tony Estes and the Rev. Joey Wigley officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, Jan. 13, from 10 a.m. to noon and 3-9 p.m. and Tuesday, Jan. 14, from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.
