Donald J. Adent, 79, of Cumming passed away June 17, 2014. He was born Aug. 12, 1934, to Anthony and Sarah (Kotowski) Adent in St. Joseph, Mich., who preceded him in death. He moved to Georgia after retiring from Mercy/Memorial Medical Center in St. Joseph, Mich., where he was Director of Data Processing. He served his country during peaceful times in the Panama Canal Zone.

He is survived by his children, David of Charleston, S.C., daughter Linda (Rick) Johnson of St. Joseph, Mich., Mark (Debra Bennett) Adent of Johns Creek; a twin sister, Adele (John) Williams of The Villages, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Chelsea and Tyler Adent of South Carolina, Michael and Ali Johnson of St. Joseph, Mich., and John, Matt and Kate Adent of Johns Creek; three brothers, Florian, Henry and Anthony Adent Jr.
Mr. Adent will be cremated and the family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
