Grady Dover, age 83, of Buford passed away Sunday, July 6, 2014. Mr. Dover was born March 7, 1931, in Georgia. He was a retired barber, having worked in the Buford area for many years. He also worked many years at Scientific Atlanta. He was a member of Concord Baptist Church in Silver City.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Allene Turner Dover.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Penny and Lary Free of Sugar Hill; grandchildren, Casey and Chelsea Free of Buford; sister, Dot Pilcher of Dawsonville; brother-in-law, Vestal Mewborn of Sugar Hill; numerous sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law of the late Jim Turner family; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 9, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home, with Chaplain Lee A. Almy Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Concord Baptist Church Cemetery in Silver City. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, July 8, from 4-9 p.m. and Wednesday, July 9, from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
