Bobby Joe Wofford, age 80, of Cumming passed away Sunday, July 20, 2014. He was a member and deacon of Concord Baptist Church. He had served as a Gideon since November 1973 and was instrumental in starting the Forsyth County camp. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bettye Holbrook Wofford.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Elizabeth Page Harris Wofford of Cumming; his sons and daughters-in-law, Joey and Cindy Wofford of Cumming, Ben and Stacie Wofford of Cumming; stepson and daughter-in-law, Tony Wayne and Karen Harris of Cumming; sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley Ann and Garland Roberts of Buford, Delores and Larry Evans of Cumming; four brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law; grandchildren, Benson, Savannah, Russell, Sommer, Sarah; step grandchildren, Jason Harris, Christopher and Emilie Harris; step great-granddaughter, Bethany.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 23, at 11 a.m. at Concord Baptist Church, with the Rev. Rubin Smith, Dr. Jimmy Orr, the Rev. Robert Martin and Dr. Scott Gilbert officiating. Interment will follow in Coal Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home Tuesday, July 22, from 2-9 p.m. and Wednesday, July 23, from 9 a.m. until hour of the service..
