Charles Frederick Clark Jr., 81, of Cumming, formerly of Martins Ferry, Ohio, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2013, at Northside Hospital-Forsyth. He was born July 4, 1931, in Parkersburg, W.Va., the son of the late Charles Frederick Clark Sr. and Mary P. Clark.

Charles Frederick Clark served in the United States Marine Corps from 1949-1952. He served the state of Ohio as a state trooper for just over 32 years and retired as captain on March 1, 1985. He then joined the Ohio State Medical Board in 1985 and retired in 2007. After retiring he moved to be with his children and grandchildren in Cumming.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by Albert Kreiger, Muriel Clark; and his two brothers, James F. Clark and Albert Kreiger Jr.
He is survived by his loving wife, Norma J. (Fisher) Clark; son, Charles Douglas Clark (Debbie); granddaughter, Sara Nicole; daughter, Danielle Clark Schmidt (Paul); granddaughters, Erica, and Abigail; grandson, Benjamin, all of Cumming;
brothers, William F. Clark of Lancaster, Ohio, Gerald E. Kreiger of LaVale, Md.; sister, Patricia S. McCauley (David) of Wheeling, W.Va.; and many nephews and nieces.
A service was held Friday, June 14, at 11 a.m. at the Kepner Funeral Home in Wheeling, W.Va., with the Rev. Tim Orr officiating.
