Alma Williams

Alma Jean Williams, cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, died peacefully in her home with family at her side on May 30, 2014. She was a beautiful, gracious woman who loved her family and her friends. Born May 13, 1928, Jean lived in Fort Morgan all her life. After graduating from Fort Morgan High School, she married her beloved husband, Keith D. Williams and celebrated sixty-eight years together. In addition to being a full-time mom, she was a secretary at Frazier Insurance, office manager at Culligan (that she and Keith owned) and provided accounting services at Valley View and Country Club Estates. She also worked with her husband building their homes, and building/remodeling homes for many others in Morgan County and around the country. They spent countless weekends building their treasured river-front cabin in Cedar Cove, which they generously shared with family and friends until the 2013 flood swept it all away. Jean loved gardening and enjoyed playing bridge. She was a was a long-time member of the United Methodist Church where she also taught Sunday school and was a 60-year member of Beta Sigma Phi. She was affectionately called "GG" by her grandchildren and great grandchildren and leaves a legacy of positive spirit, thoughtful intelligence, social consciousness and a caring heart. We are saddened by the loss of her daily presence in our lives but know that we were truly blessed for the time we had with her. Her love will remain in our hearts forever. She is survived by her husband, Keith D. Williams of Fort Morgan, daughters Linda Loseke of Costa Mesa, CA and Cynthia (Sam) Uhrick of Fort Morgan, and son Michael Williams of FL; granddaughter Leslie (Rob) Korzen of Summerville, SC, grandsons Lance (Jolie) Uhrick of Littleton, CO and Jason (Tanya) Loseke of Waxhaw, NC; nine great grandchildren; and sisters Doris Walters of Gainesville, VA and Janet Green of Fort Morgan. The family wishes to thank Becky, Bev, Holly, Vicki and Jillian who provided wonderful care, and to Pastor Arrington for his many visits.
