Jimmie Joe "Jim" Lively(1946 - 2013)

Jimmie (Jim) Joe Lively passed away peacefully at home in Evans on December 24, 2013 after a lengthy illness.
Jimmie was born on the 23rd of January 1946 in Brush to Rudolph (Buck) and Ida Lydia Lively. He graduated from Padroni High School and then lived most of his life in Sterling before moving to Longmont. He married Beth Engle on March 17, 2006 and moved to Evans. He worked for A & W Water Service and retired in 2008. The last several weeks Jim was fighting a battle for his life. Jim touched our lives and souls, and his presence in our life is a gift we will always be thankful for.
Jim is survived by his wife Beth Lively of Evans; his children, Kevin Lively and wife, Judy, of Colorado Springs, Carisa Carmin and husband, Kelly, of Snyder, Daniel Lively and wife, Cathy, of Grand Junction, Steven Lively and Sandy Hicks of Sterling, and Janelle Machamer and husband, Tony, of Sterling; step-children, Sonya DeWitt and husband, John, of Greeley, and Michelle Bowman and husband, Jeff, of Thornton; grandchildren, Tyler and Amanda Carmin, Rachel, Amber, and Joel Lively and Cash Machamer; step-grandchildren, Stephanie and Josh DeWitt, Kayla and Nate Bowman, and Mason and Austin Hoskinson. He is also survived by his sisters, Connie Keil and husband, Larry, Christine Knudson and husband, Leland, and numerous nieces and nephews. Jim is also survived by his loving and faithful companions, Buddy and Button. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bob.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2014, at 1 p.m. at Northern Colorado Crematory, 700 8th Street, Greeley, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial contributions to Home Instead, 3711 John F. Kennedy Pkwy., Suite 317, Fort Collins CO, 80525, Attn: Sarah Harlow.
