Karen Kay Schlundt passed away March 27, 2014 at her home in Marquette, KS.
Karen was born September 25, 1946 in Holyoke, CO, to Donald and Helen Comer and started school in a rural school southwest of Champion, NE. When the family moved to Fort Morgan in 1957, she finished the rest of her school years in Fort Morgan and graduated at Fort Morgan High School in 1964.
She married Richard Schlundt on June 20, 1964 in Brush, Colorado, and they had three sons, Douglas Dwayne, Michael Scott and Joseph Lee Schlundt. They lived in Fort Morgan until 1985 and moved to Longmont, CO. They lived in Texas and later moved to Marquette, KS.
Karen enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and loved to talk to people about Jesus. She had suffered ill health for several years.
She leaves behind her loyal husband, Richard; son, Joe and wife, Sara Schlundt, triplets, Ethan, Madi and Julia; daughter-in-law, Tifni Schlundt and children, Kelsi and Kellen, Ky and wife, Beth, and son, Drew, all of St. Louis, MO; sister, Dee Carpenter and family of Fort Morgan; brother, Kenneth Comer and family of Longmont, CO; nephew, Steve Comer and wife, Diane, of Hoyt, CO.
Karen was preceded in death by sister, Donna Comer; brothers, David and Carl Comer and her parents, Donald and Helen Comer.
She was cremated and a memorial service in Fort Morgan will be announced at a later date.
