Larry Hall(1943 - 2014)

Larry Hall of Ft. Morgan passed away at Northern Colorado Medical Center, in Greeley on Sunday, July 27th. He was born September 15, 1943 in Ault, CO to Raymond Spencer and Hazel Marie (Hobbs) Hall. Larry was an employee of the City of Ft. Morgan Gas & Parks Department for over 43 years. He also worked prior to that for Achziger Oil. Larry had many passions in life ranging from stock car racing to motorcycles. But his greatest passions were his children Larry, Jr. and Teresa. Larry was a member of the ELKS, Lodge 1143, the Ft. Morgan Jaycees and the Gold Wing Motorcycle Club. He was one of the original builders of the I-76 Speedway in Ft. Morgan where he not only raced stock cars for years but was the owner and driver of the (Original #1) at the track. He was a great contributor and supporter of the 1/4 midget racing program when his kids were racing in their early years. Larry is survived by his son Larry (Tammy) Dean Hall, Jr. of Highlands Ranch, and a daughter Teresa Michelle Hall, of Northglenn. Brother, James (Pat) Hall, of Ft. Morgan, and a sister, Delores (Dwain) Gray of Lakewood. Significant other, Patricia Schrum, of Ft. Morgan and her daughter, Michelle Rucker. Grandchildren: Tandi Hall, Zach Hall, Maisyn Kubly and Great grand-son, X'Zaidrian Hall. Larry is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and of course a host of friends. Larry was preceded in death by a brother Donald Ray Hall, and a sister Mary Anna Johnson. The Funeral Service and Visitation will be held Monday August 4 , at Calvary Baptist Church, 1120 State Street, Ft. Morgan, with visitation from 10:00am to 12:00 - noon and the Funeral Service beginning at 1:00pm . Services will conclude at the church.
