William Jolliffe(1939 - 2014)

William "Bill" Marsh Jolliffe, 75, died July 31, 2014 in Wichita, KS. A celebration of life were held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, August 9, at The Residency in Scottsbluff, with Reverend James E. Rowe officiating. There was no visitation as cremation had taken place in accordance with Bill's wishes. Guests were asked to bring a favorite picture or story to share at the celebration. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.jolliffefuneralhome.com. William was born in Brush, CO December 2, 1939. He grew up in Fort Morgan, Colorado. He attended Wentworth Military Academy, Colorado State University and the San Francisco College of Mortuary Science. William served in the Colorado National Guard. While in Fort Morgan he received National and State recognition for his work with the Morgan County Ambulance Service that was an all-volunteer service starting in 1965. William also served in the Fort Morgan Jaycee's. He spent most of his life as a Funeral Director practicing in Nebraska and Colorado. William was a past president of District V Nebraska Funeral Directors Association. He was very active in the Scottsbluff community and was "Lion of the Year" as a member of the Lions Club. William served on the Scottsbluff Country Club Board of Directors and was president and supervisor of the building of the current SBCC. Along with these endeavors William also served on the Oregon Trail Community Foundation, United Way Chairman, President of SB County Heart Association, Past Deacon at First Presbyterian Church, Elks member, and supporter of youth baseball, junior golf and the Bearcat booster club. He enjoyed fly fishing, fly tying, land and wildlife conservation, golf, coking and photography. Survivors include his two sons, Mark Jolliffe (Heidi) of Wichita, KS; Greg Jolliffe of Fort Collins, CO; brother, Richard Jolliffe (Lou) of Scottsbluff; grandchildren, Kristina Jolliffe, Micha Truong (Tom), Santtana Seal (Kaylee), and Miranda Seal; great grandchildren, Madison Seal, Jayda Seal (Santtana) and London Truong (Micha); niece, Jody Kind; and nephews, Jeff Jolliffe, Jim Jolliffe, and Pat Jolliffe. Preceding William in death were his parents, Francis and Frankie Jolliffe; brother, Patrick Jolliffe; and niece, Laurie Jolliffe.
