Doris F. McCracken, 86, of Fort Morgan, died Saturday evening, June 1, 2013, at Tribute Homes Assisted Living in Wiggins.
She was born in Snyder on January 25, 1927 to Jacob and Ida (Loveless) Kuck. After her high school graduation, she married William R. McCracken on May 12, 1946.
Doris spent her days as a hardworking homemaker, farm wife, and mother, helping her husband on the family farm and raising their children.
Doris loved entertaining family and friends, cooking, baking, sewing, and doing puzzles. She was a member of the Morgan Church of The Nazarene.
She is survived by her husband, Bill McCracken; two sons, David McCracken and his wife, Bonnie, and Brian McCracken and his wife, Laura, all of Fort Morgan; her daughter, Cheri McCracken-Kinnison and her husband, Dan Kinnison of Colorado Springs; her brother, Don Kuck of Woodland Park; 18 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Helen Robison; brother, Jim Kuck, and twin brother, Duane Kuck; her sons, Rusty McCracken, Dennis McCracken, and Rick McCracken; and her daughter, Sandra Duncan.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 6th, at the Heer Mortuary in Fort Morgan.
Funeral services will be Friday, June 7th, at 11:00 a.m. at the Morgan Church of The Nazarene. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Fort Morgan.
