Geneva E. "Jean" (Teter) Daniels Obituary
Geneva "Jean" E. Daniels, 85, longtime area resident, died Friday, February 22, 2013, at her home in Fort Morgan.
Jean was born June 26, 1927 in Brush to Henry and Nettie (Hunt) Teter Sr.
She married Everett R. Daniels Sr. on August 4, 1946 in Brush. He died in1958.
Jean was affectionately known to her family as "Sis" or "Aunt Sis." She was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America and the American Iris Society and grew beautiful iris that she would show at various events. Jean was an avid Broncos fan and 4-H leader. She enjoyed canning, crocheting, reading, traveling with her family, and gardening. She worked for the Great Western Sugar Factory in Fort Morgan for 28 years before retiring in 1999.
Survivors include three sons, Dwight Daniels and wife Leslie of Lamar, James H. Daniels and wife Wendy of Ft. Morgan, and Everett R. Daniels Jr. of Lamar; two daughters, Lana Daniels Reeves of Greeley and Peggy A. Kirk of Columbus, Ohio; one brother, Hughie Teter of Twin Falls, Idaho; two sisters, June Crispin of Ft. Morgan, and Leona Walter of Albuquerque, New Mexico; sister-in-law, Karen Teter of Sandy, Utah; brother-in-law, Richard Hellyer; fourteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, Dennis Joe Daniels and Michael Gary Daniels, two brothers, Earl L. Teter and H.R. "Bud" Teter, one sister, Betty M. Hellyer, and her parents.
There will be a visitation on Tuesday, February 26, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Heer Mortuary in Fort Morgan. Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 27, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at Heer Mortuary Chapel in Ft. Morgan. Interment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery in Brush. Memorial gifts may be made in her name to the charity of one's choice. The Heer Mortuary in Ft. Morgan is in charge of the arrangements.
