James Bowman Obituary
James E. Bowman Sr. age 93, died on May 30, 2014 in Phoenix Arizona. He was born on January 26, 1921, in Davis County Missouri, and grew up in Sterling Colorado. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Jean Edwards. They were married on February 21, 1943 in Fort Morgan. They were happily married for 75 years. He was a "Fly Boy" in WW2, and flew 35 missions over France and Germany with the 369th bombardment squadron as a ball turret gunner on a B-17 flying fortress. He worked for 35 years for Burlington Northern Railway, working up from a brakeman on the Brush local, and retiring as Assistant Superintendent in Alliance Nebraska. Jim and Jean worked an additional 35 years serving the Tempe ARC community. He is survived by his 6 children, Linda Dixon of Phoenix Arizona, James E Bowman Jr., from the Pass Creek Ranch, in Parkman Wyoming, Gerald Bowman from Vancouver Washington, Susan Nield from Dayton Wyoming, and Peggy Strosnider and Roger Bowman, from Casper Wyoming. Jim and Jean had 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. He will be interred along side his beloved wife Jean, at serenity falls columbarium, Fort Morgan cemetery at 3pm on Friday August 22. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the ARC of Tempe Arizona.
