Louie Ferguson Obituary
Louie C. Ferguson Jr., 87, longtime area resident, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at his home in Brush. He was born July 12, 1926 in Hoxie, Kansas to Louie and Sophia (Baumann) Ferguson. Junior moved with his family to Colorado in 1929. He graduated from Otis High School in 1945. On April 26, 1953 he married Arlene Smith in Otis. Shortly after their marriage they moved to Brush. They had four sons, Dan, Mike, Bob, and Tim. Junior was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing, as well as playing cards, and being with his family. He began his auto mechanic career in Otis and continued in Brush working for Noffsinger Motors. He started Junior's Garage in 1959, where all four of his sons worked at various times. Later he began selling used cars. Junior is survived by his sons, Mike Ferguson and his wife Irina of Chelyabinsk, Russia, Bob Ferguson and his wife Kathie, of Fort Morgan, and Tim Ferguson and his wife Donna, of Brush, 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, and 1 step-great grandchild. Junior was preceded in death by his wife Arlene, his son Dan, his sister Joan, his brother Dale, and his parents. Memorial Services will be July 1, at 10 AM at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Brush. Inurnment will follow in Brush Memorial Cemetery. Memorial gifts, in memory of Junior, may be sent to Heer Mortuary.
